Which datascreen for TIME to have total trip time

I have a fenix 5x and simply want one of my data screens to be the total time I have been hiking for, when user to ‘elapsed time’ it seems to give time of the current segment ( a 1 or 2 shown then the time), it does the same when Just ‘time’ is set. I just want to see how long have I been out for. Any suggestions ?!

The small number at the start (1 or 2 in your example) is just the number of hours, the other numbers are minutes and seconds.

I don't like this format; older units showed minutes and seconds up to an hour, then hours and minutes. The hour value is a bit small for middle aged folks like me to read, and the seconds aren't that useful except when you're trying to get across a finish line in a race before a minute/hour bounday arrives.

I think, the easiest way is to add an additional screen in your activity with "Timer" (Layout with 1/2/3/4 data fields - just as you want)

Settings... Activities and Apps... [Your activity]... Activitysettings... Trainings... left lower button "Add"... user defined data... Layout... Timer-Fields... Timer. (I hope, the names are correct in English - I have German Language setting)

For hiking; I have added the data field "HikeField" from Connect IQ Store, which fulfills all my needs. (It's only a suggestion - there are much more possibilities)
