Fenix 5X won't charge

This morning I tried charging my Fenix 5X. At first, I connected it to my Mac (via USB C to USB A dongle), which has never been a problem. However, for around 30 minutes the battery level didn't change at all, while the device was connected and discovered by the Mac (it was visible in Finder, and Garmin Express synced it). I tried reconnecting a number of times, but without any difference. Also, I soft rebooted the device.

Then I connected it to a wall plug, which only seemed to discharge the device (from 39% to 36%). I wiped the connector on the cable and on the device with a soft cloth afterwards, although both connectors look fine anyway. Any clue on what might help?

The little pins haven't got pushed in on the charger or the watch? They get stuck sometimes.

Thanks for your help! Careful inspection turned out that there was a very tiny piece of dirt on one of the pins, which kept it from charging...

Closely inspect the male pin head. I discovered one of mine had partial dirt on it which prevents a charging connection

Yes, this was exactly the problem with my Fenix 5. Just cleaned both terminals, on the watch and charger with a match stick, some cloth and a tiny amount of cleaning solution. Its back charging now. Worked an absolute treat. Thank you!
