Following the prolonged sync and software issues on the F5X (and it seems many are having similar experience and it's a Garmin Connect / IQ issue) and honestly now a lack of trust in reliability of all of the background sync and services, I've now shut off all sync with Garmin servers and removed consent for data sharing.
If my data isn't working for me, it's not going to profit corporates either sort of deal.
I read the data on the day and adjust accordingly and didn't really use the benefits of longer period tracking even when it worked. I never used any of the social elements either.
I've replaced the calendar which messed up all my workouts, specially failing in syncing, with a personal Google Calendar.
I know I've lost sleep data altogether, as well as performance stats on mobile and web (while still available per day on watch).
My question is whether I'm losing out on anything else which I have failed to notice so far. Also, if anyone's gone through with this as well or have thoughts on this which would help me set things right instead of going through trial and error to get the most out of good hardware but less than satisfactory software for me.
Thanks,
