Same issue here. I'm also getting double or closer to triple the usual intensity minutes per week

  • 13.30 is pure crap (at least for me) - never had such a strange behavior with the fenix 5 before. wish i could go back to the latest firmware before 13.30 without doing a hardware reset.

stress is way higher, i get many many activity minutes without doing something (yesterday i got 100 activity minutes while driving my car), oHRM does whatever it likes (during an activity with a HR at about 150 the fenix jumped between 70 and 90) and on one day all steps and floors did not reset over night and doubled everything the next morning (at least this gave me a new step record).

Edit: an not to mention the ridiculous high amount of climbed floors. yesterday morning, after i climbed 3 floors i already had 12 floors on the fenix. today i may have climbed about 10 floors - now the fenix is showing 40 floors.

    Same here.... 1x 4hr Hike/Jog = 1,214 intensity minutes Astonished

WiFi transfer now = constant spinning and never completing. I had to force quit the watch. I've lost the activity that just didn't transfer all data correctly. What was uploaded I just deleted, missing Stryd data & HRM Run4 data.

I've taken it off and put it in the draw for now (I also use a AW4). I haven't decided what to do with it. If it wasn't for the bike cadence & speed sensors, I'd have been sold it by now as the optical HR on the AW4 match the HRM Run4 every time. Stryd app works great as well.

  • Same here..... Stress is showing twice as high..... and double intensity minitues.... I've trebled my goal this week on 13.30....usually its a challenge to meet the goal.

  • I had my Fenix off from 5/23 - 5/28 due to some surgery. I put it back on and my stress levels are thru the roof. I attributed some of it to recovery but zero rest hours and multiple blanks in the All Day stress lead me to believe that is some of the problem as well.

It's not recording any Intensity Minutes but all I am doing is PT and light walking with crutches.

  • After almost 3 full days, it seems to have self-corrected itself. It'd appear it needed to re-baseline since my RHR had gone a up and I had not had a reading in 7 days. I think it's still calibrating but it appears to be more normal as of this morning,

  • same here. Watch updated on 5/30 . At exactly midnight between 5/29 and 5/30 my stress jumped from around 20 to around 80. It remained around 80 all day. this morning 5/31, when I woke up my stress was already around 70. I stress but not that much.

I tend to believe it is something related to OHRM, it is taking more time to adapt to HR changes.

E.g. on my bike rides, it is taking 13 minutes to detect elevated HR while it used to be spot on after 5 minutes on firmware 13.0.

Adding to the thread of functionality loss or not working the same pre 13.30, hoping the programmers are reviewing these threads and making adjustments.

    1) Stress monitoring does not work period! takes approximately 1 hour before the first signs of recording stress levels appear on the watch. All the time during this 1 hour period the watch keeps telling you to adjust the band and make sure you are not moving while it tries to calculate your stress.

    2) Stress monitoring after initial 1 hour "calibration" the stress levels are way way low my daily stress has gone from an average of 25 per day in the 2 weeks prior to the update to less than 10 a day in the last week. Must be my life changes, not no change except the 13.30 update.

    3) Floors climbed and descended, of which I never use this information anyway because I live in a single story house, work in a single story building and run in a almost perfectly flat area (Total elevation change on my 6 mile runs is 30 feet). Before 13.30 I might have seen 1 floor climbed in a about 4 weeks, after 13.30 on average I am seeing 12 floors climbed and up 16 floors descended per run. Not claiming those at part of work out at all Slight smile

I know its not the Garmin connect app as I have other Garmin device that also calculate stress and floors climbed and they have been as usual and have not had an update for a few months now. The issue is isolated to my Fenix 5 and probably a result of the software update.

Thanks for reading hope this helps solve the issues, look forward to the next update and keep up the good work, love my Garmin and their devices.
