Fenix 5X not pairing to full set of Approach CT10 golf club sensors

I have a problem pairing more than 13-CT10 golf club sensors to my Fenix 5X watch.  Garmin has been working on for a couple of weeks or more but not resolution.

Everything works fine on up to 13 sensors but it never reaches 14, which is an official full set, or more.

Garmin says that up to 20-CT10 can be paired.

Watch recognizes the sensor as present and finds but will never complete pairing. I've had access and tried more than 10 new sensors and the problem is always the same.

Not a defective sensor problem as I can remove a sensor from being paired the watch and any new one I wish as long as it is not over 13.

I ran into the same problem, however I could only pair 11 CT-10s.  After communicating with Garmin, they clarified that a maximum of 20 sensors can be connected to the watch.  At the time, I had HR sensors, Bike-Speed/Cadence, Power, Bike trainer, etc. for a total of 9 sensors.  The 11 CT-10s took me to the 20 sensor limit.  As soon as I removed a couple of the infrequently used other sensors, I was able to pair up the remaining 2 CT-10s.

So, the 20 sensor limit is the bottom line.  If you can't pair all 14 CT-10s, it is likely due to the fact that you have 7 other sensors already connected.

  • WIll CT-10 work with a Fenix 5 Plus?  The Garmin website says only the specialized golf watches (S40 S62 Approach, etc). I have the Fenix 5 Plus and want to use the CT-10s.

  • They will work as I’ve don on 5X and now 6X but beware 20 is the max number of devices of all types that the Garmin watches will connect.

major problem that Garmin has not address. Not a technology issue as my Edge 1030 bike computer will do a greater number.

    Garmin needs to fix.
