Doubtful. It’s not even “official” on the 5x+ yet (just available through beta’s). Garmin adds new features to new products (I believe it’s available on the new MARQ series, along with the new Timer functionality from the Instinct) to entice people to buy new and up to date watches.
I don't know if they will or won't but I've actually been impressed throughout my time with the Fenix series how often they have back ported new features to the older models when hardware and software can handle it.
