Strava live segments without favouring them

Hi,

Not sure if possible but I wondered if Strava live segments would appear even though they are not in my favourites? I.e if I am out on a new run I have never been to before and I didn't know where any segments were. The Fenix might flash up with some popular ones? Not sure how the Fenix would know to do this but it would be a nice feature.

Interesting... How does it know to put them on the watch if it doesn't know what location I am about to go running at? Unless it puts the top 100 or whatever within the region/country? And if I am lucky enough to stumble upon one it will flash up.

Perhaps I misspoke on the "popular" segments. That may have been with the Strava phone app. Either way, I can't confirm as I discontinued my Strava premium trial subscription because I frankly didn't see enough of a benefit for the money. The following Strava article does suggest that the segment needs to be on your Edge which suggests that you star the segment and sync your device.

Ah no worries, I did wonder if I had my phone with me with Strava running, would it flag up on my watch. I might have give it a go and see.
