I engage in regular stage ultra marathons. Usually the routes are available to download as a gpx file. I previously had a Fenix 3, and until recently I could download the gpx file into the Fenix 3 through either basecamp or into New files using the device as a mass storage device. I bought the Fenix 5 for the mapping, but I have been unable to load the gpx routes for my next race onto the unit. Initially it let me add 4 of the 5 stages through basecamp. However, now it will only take one of the stages, replacing it when I try to add another. I have been able to import the courses also into Garmin Connect, but again the unit ill only take 1 course at a time.
When in basecamp the unit shows all 5 stages until i dismount the watch and wait for it to come on, there is then only the last loaded course on the watch and also in basecamp when i reconnect.
Other participants in the race have been able to load the whole 5 stags onto their Fenix 5 from the same source. Garmin were unhelpful, stating it was a fault with the file, which it clearly isn't.
Any advice would be great, I've already spent hours and hours on this to no avail. It is certainly putting me off what I am told is a great watch
