Still not possible to install the Europe 2018.20 TopoActive map

Hi all,

Just installed the 13.0 firmware on my Fenix5X.

Where my wife is able to install the new TopoActive 2018.20 Europe map on her Fenix 5X, my Fenix 5X still give the message it is not possible because of a internal memory issue in the Fenix.
Anyone have the same issue?

I have this issue now for about two months yet, seems Garmin is not able to solve this issue within a reasonable time.......:(.

Just move your all third party maps from F5X to PC for the time of instalation TopoActive 2018.20. After this move all things back to your watch. I have to do this everytime there is an update.

I do not have any third party maps on my Fenix 5X.
It is strange my wife gets the map installed on her Fenix 5X and on my Fenix 5X I get an error message!?
Especially now she has more IQ apps on her Fenix as on mine.........

I had similar problem with my new F5X. Bought from a store, tried to update maps => not enough room on the device. Fresh device, nothing extra installed.

I have the same issue with North and South America Map update, its only 30.29MB file size.

I deleted all maps and reloaded the necessary ones.

Got below solution from Garmin Netherlands, tried it and it works. Map is installed!
The reason seems to be the Europe map is split into two maps: Europe East and Europe West.
This seems to give problems on certain devices (my wife's 5X no problem, with my 5X got the problem).

Connect device to computer
Delete the D6184010A.img file (the file of the map, so the 2,9 Gb file)
Delete the GarminDevice.xml file
Disconnect from computer
Power on and allow to fully boot up
Reconnect to computer
Launch Garmin Express
Retry the map update

My Fenix cannot calculate routes for car after installation of this map.
