stop automatically changing maxHR when I set it manually garmin!!!

grrrrr, am I missing a setting somewhere? why on a $500 watch in the 12.xx version of the firmware do I have to constantly go back in and change the maxHR down to my proper maxHR because the optical wrist HR is so poor that it keeps creeping upwards and then automatically changing my HR zones

fix this garmin: when maxHR is set manually, do NOT change it automatically

ps. far less important but would be nice, on the HR gauge, show the zone number before the name, ie. Z1: Easy or 1: Easy
  • Settings> Physiological Metrics> Autodetection> Max HR = Off

Also, poor OHR performance is normally due to poor watch positioning and placement. The watch needs to be on the fleshy part of your wrist, well away from the wrist bone - this is higher than most people normally wear a watch. The band also needs to be fairly snug to ensure a good seal against external light entering the sensor - I find I need to have the band 1 notch tighter for running than I do for 24/7 monitoring.
  • Thank you for this ( upper instructions if post) I didn’t even know this existed. Went right to it on my Fenix Pro and there it was!
    thanks
