Do i have to calibrate FootPod before indoor run? Mine shows different value than the running machine (difference is about 0.02-0.05 km / 1 km) is this normal error? how to calibrate and decalibrate "running indoor" activity? EDIT: how to check which data is from hrm run and which from footpod, cause im using these two together?
It could be normal error since most treadmills are not calibrated very accurately but the F5X does have auto calibration for the footpod. Check in the sensor settings for the footpod and make sure that is turned on and then go for a run outside with both GPS and the footpod enabled and it should calibrate automatically.
As for which sensor it is getting data from, the HRM-Run does not transmit speed or distance, although it does have cadence and other running dynamics measurements, so the footpod would be the source there. While you are in the sensor settings for the footpod check under speed and distance and make sure they are set to indoor so that the F5X will use it for speed and distance inside and not the built in accelerometer which is less accurate since it relies in arm movement.
