Garmin Connect settins issue

Just set up my 5X on the weekend so far so good. A couple of issuse I am struggling to sort out.
First is when I go to Garmin connect drill down to my5X settings for Activities & App management i can not get into any of the setting under this tab. when ever i click on any of the tab ie Widgets, Watch faces ect I get a "Network connection error". This happens for any tabs under Activities & app management.. Any ideas of how to fix this??? I can not change settings for any custom watch faces I may use.. This was ocurring before I set up any thin custom on the watch. Very annoying.

Second issue is the watch is running 7.10 firmware it will not update to latest 7.60.. Any ideas of how i can force this???
