Garmin strength, "Free", editing weights...

I use the Garmin Strength activity to record free-weight strength workouts. It works pretty well, not perfect, but generally good.
After saving the activity you can then edit it in Garmin Connect. My question is....
- Does editing the weights used for each set make any difference to any of the metrics e.g. calories used? I think the answer is no. But if yes....
- If entering weight for dumbbells, i.e. one weight used in each hand, should you enter the weight of each or of both combined i.e. if using 5kg dumbbells should you enter 5kg or 10kg?
