I had barometer/altimeter issues with my new Fenix 5(I got only a few weeks ago), so I got a brand new replacement unit. Once I got a replacement unit I decided to compare both watches for a few days to figure out if there is any difference between two watches. An altimeter is working better on the new watch, but the battery drains almost twice as fast. After a night my new watch had 95 %, while the new watch has only 90%. by the end of the day, and after a workout my old watch has 90% while the new one has 82%.
Need to say, that I am wearing them both and treat them equally. All settings are the same. the new watch may have fewer applications and widgets, but this should've affected the outcome in a different direction. I charged both units completely after I updated firmware and installed applications.
Is it expected behavior? or should I report Garmin and ask to send a replacement for a replacement?
P.S. kind of side comment, but an engraving at the back of the watch is blurry on my new watch.
