Fenix 5x will not charge from wall outlet since upgrading to12.00

Fenix 5x will no longer charge from a wall outlet. It will charge when connected to a pc but I get an error saying that the device is not recognized so I cannot connect to Garmin Express.

Suggestions:
1. Try a different USB Wall Charger
2. Charge via computer USB connection. Note: You do NOT need to connect to Garmin Express to charge via this method.
3. If your having trouble connecting to Garmin Express, I would suggest Restarting your computer and Fenix 5x

I have tried all of these things and it still isn't working. I have also factory reset the watch.

Maybe something inside the watch is broken. My older Fenix 5X started to heat up during charging and this heat I think caused it to stop charging. I was removing the watch from charge, cooling it down and charge again until its hot again and stops charging. I contacted service and the main unit was changed with a unit with golden charging contacts.

Mad_cap_1, sis651 brought up some good points. Maybe you should contact Garmin CS for assistance, since it seems you may have a device issue.

Try cleaning the port and plug with a toothbrush. It's really sensitive to the tiniest particles stopping a good connection.
