Hello Garmin people, since yesterday I have really furstraring issue. I have Xiaomi mi A1 and yesterday I updated to 9.0 android pie. Since then the Bluetooth connection is really bad and keeps diaconecting all the time. In the past I had stable connection for 20 mettres and now it keeps disconnecting even if I move for 2 meters. Sometimes it reconnects but it is really unstable. I tried almost everything I know. Removed the device from Garmin Connect, unpaired device, cleared Bluetooth cache plus data, hard reset of the phone and still it keeps disconnecting which was not the case one day ago. If I pair my Bluetooth speaker I have absolutely no issue even if I go in the near room and I have walls and doors between me and the phone. I don't know how it is possible this in Android pie. Any ideas how I can bring back my stable Bluetooth connection ?
  • Hm, I tried this again and after the second reset of the BT settings it looks like it is working and the connection is stable now.
I looked at the GC for 5 minutes and the watch did not disconnect at all. Thanks!

I confirm as well that today everything was as before after the reset of the Bluetooth. It asked me right away for PIN in GCM and it paired from the second try. Although it showed my device Fenix 5 as quatix it paired and all day is working fine. Thank God. Now I am afraid to update GCM as it may broke again something.

I saw now that if you go in Bluetooth options you dont see the watch as paired nor as previously connected. Really strange.

I have Xiaomi Mi A1 and got an android pie update last week. Since then the bluetooth connection is not working with my Garmin Vivoactive smartwatch. I can initially pair bluetooth with phone using 6 digit number that appears on the watch. But after that nothing happens, the watch does not show bluetooth icon anymore and after some time says 'phone disconnected'. Tried all possible suggested solutions online such as rebooting, resetting, cleaning up caches of apps/bluetooth app, uninstall and reinstall garmin connect app, forgetting and pairing bluetooth again... nothing worked. Not sure if this is an android issue or garmin connect issue. Please let me know if anyone facing similar issue or has found a workaround.

There is an update for GC too :)
I took the risk and updated it. For now the connection is still stable.

Tried resetting the bluetooth, did not work, after that deleted v3 reconnected it, deleted and installed garmin connect, reseted the bluetooth now 30 min connection is stable
