Incoming call notification not working properly since update 12.0

Hello everyone,
Since update 12.0 call notification not working properly. I only get the notification "Incoming Call" without a phone number or contact name (as you can see at the picture). On my phone (Xiaomi mi 8) the garmin's application "connect" have all the permittions it is necessary to work. I unninstall the connect app and reinstall it but nothing changed. Is there any solution about it? ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1435632.jpg
  • This is being discussed on a few other threads. ">Here's one">Here's one on the fenix 5/5S Plus forum, so apparently affecting other models.

Your problem may be related to Xiaomi. I had several Xiaomi phones in the past and the Connect app never worked reliably. With my current phone (oneplus 6) I get 100% connectivity (including version 12.0)
  • I understand your point but before I get version 12.0 everything was working fine.

    Good Morning All,

I've noticed a similar problem for the past 3 days. So all my notifications work fine, then I go to sleep and use "Do Not Disturb" during my sleep cycle. When I get up and my Fenix 5X switches off the Do Not Disturb function, my notifications are NOT being restored as they should be! The ONLY way I have been able to get them working again is the following:
    1. Restart my iPhone
    2. Turn Off/Restart my Fenix
    3. When the iPhone restarts, Start my Garmin Connect App
    4. Sync my Fenix and Connect App

At this point, the notifications will resume. I'm not sure if this is related to the new firmware (12) that I received or not, but it has only happened the last 3 nights, which leaves me to believe, it may be connected. Today, I turned off the Do Not Disturb function during sleep, which should (hopefully) prevent me from needing to go through all of this every morning. Hope this helps someone else.

    Any thoughts folks?
  • PROBLEM SOLVED
it has actually to do with the Garmin connect version .i reverted to version 4.12.3 and it works perfectly again.

    I have the same problem.
its s shame that garmin knows about this problem and has not yet lanched an update to solve the problem.

this kind off service is not for this range price brand

    shame on you garmin.

if this problem persists for more then 3 days y will ask for a a full refond!!!!

    Bad bad service!!!!
  • At least on iPhone you do not need to go through all the hoops of restarting the device to get the notifications flowing again. It is still annoying but you can reset the do not disturb status by steps below:

    1. Completely shut down Garmin Connect on your phone. That means going to the task list and swiping it close from there. Simply hitting home button or switching to another application is not enough.
    2. disable bluetooth from phone settings. I usually wait for few seconds after disabling just to give it time to completely close the connections.
    3. Launch Garmin Connect mobile
    4. Enable bluetooth and done. Notifications will flow until the watch goes to do not disturb mode again after which you will need to execute these steps again.
  • Hello again,
After the llatest update of the garmin's connect app everything working fine again.
