Fenix 5 freezes after disconnecting from mac

After updating the Fenix 5 to version 11.00, every time I charge the Fenix using the cable connected to my Mac, the watch gets frozen when disconnected.

I have to reboot the device pressing the 5 buttons at the same time...

Anyone has experienced the same issue?
  • Yes, all the time. One little trick is to not dismount, just yank it, and then press a few buttons on the watch. Never locks up now!
  • Just got off the phone with Garmin, told them I'm having connectivity issues with my replacement watch and power meter ANT+ (my first watch, the stop/start button failed after 1.5 years). This RMA watch doesn't work on my wrist, but works fine if it's in my pocket. They acknowledged the issue and their solution is to wear the watch on my right wrist, I told them that's not a viable option, I'm right handed and have always worn my watches on my left wrist... They're sending me another refurbished unit....
  • This has been a happening thing on occasion with my 935. I either hard reset (press and hold power button until it powers off) or reconnect it and disconnect once it's synched. It's been a long standing issue from way back when. Annoying in that it does not happen every time.

Each time I think I've determined the right way to disconnect - eject, unplug: eject, close GE, unplug: close GE, eject, unplug - it seems to prove me wrong. The only time it's really a problem is if I forget to check after charging. I have turned out for a training session only to find it's been 'stuck' for the least several hours!

Thanks, will try this way next time!
