New band options and sizing questions (small wrists)

I've had my 5x since May 2018 and its now December. Give or take thats around 7-ish months old. I wear the watch almost 24x7. My watch has the standard OEM rubber-ish band. A month or so ago I noticed that the band was cracking where I clasp it for every day wear. I do tighten it one notch for I'm using for sport. I emailed Garmin with photos and they warrantied the band. I have have the new band and I'm waiting for my current one to fail before switching it out.

I was also thinking of getting a less sporty looking bank and switching them out depending on what I'm doing. The quick connect seems like it would be easy to swap bands. Overall I like the robber band for activities because it doesn't get nasty with sweat and dirt. Metal or leather would be nice for everyday wear. Between Amazon and AliExpress there are too many choices. I'm in the States and would personally lean towards Amazon for the convince. There are Gamin copies (Chinese I'm sure), OEM, leather, steel, titanium, wood and so on.

I have a small wrist. I measure the circumference of my wrist with string. It came to 172mm with a comfortable snugness. Laying my watch flat and measuring from the clap point to the hole I use measures about 190mm (185mm for my activity clasp point).

What watch bands have people found work well for small wrists?
For those that swap bands, does it become annoying or cumbersome over time?
I assume the Chinese copies are coming out of the same factory as the OEM Garmin bands. What level of quality have people experienced?
Do the finishes wear off on the steel or titanium bands?
