I just got the 5x and playing around with it. Updated all the software. Read up on you can load route onto your watch from base camp. I was hoping to be able to scout, select, and load a hike route to my watch. Much like I do with my phone all trails, trail forks etc.
But basically failed right at the start. Base camp only has a crude over view of Canada not even local city streets. My watch has full topo canada maps but my computer looks like it did 10 years ago running base camp. I don’t see a selection to load new maps unless there is codes hidden somewhere.
i was going to post in base camp section but it looks completely dead. Any help would be appreciated. I bought this watch to hike in the bush along trails.
