Are Fenix 5 & Stryd Good now (Nov 2018)

My F5 never gave me a single issue with Stryd connection since day 1. So it must be just some F5 pieces that have (or had) this problem. If I bought mine recently and told you that it’s fine now, you could think that they fixed something but I’ve bought it as soon as they started selling in Europe. Go figure.

I seem to recall Stryd's initial statement last year being more strongly worded that the Fenix 5 and 5S were *not* compatible, so I'd be curious if there was a change in production that addressed the ANT+/Bluetooth connection issues the original watches had.

No problems for me either since I got the Stryd two months ago. Using the regular F5 non-wifi

Sounds very promising

I just bought Fenix ??5 and Stryd to use mainly in trail running. I have two doubts:

1. Is it better to pair it as Footpood or as Powerpood?. What is the difference really?

2. Is it possible to see more than one power data field during the running activity? I downloaded the "stryd power" app, but only allows to show a data field. I would like to see, for example, the current power and the lap average power.

Maybe it would be fun to show the horizontal power, the vertical power and the lateral power too!

I have it paired both ways as a powerpod (to display power) and foot pod to display pace/distance (its is more accurate than gps).
I use Datarun premium from the connect IQ store to display 7 simultaneous fields including lap average power and current power (averaged every 3 sec).
