Always ask for the original invoice when buying second hand products . Probably you are going needed it if you need the warranty in the future. If the actual owner doesn't have it, will be weird (nobody throws away the invoice of such expensive gadget)
  • Linas - ask for the receipt by all means but not everybody is careful with receipts and that is not necessarily a reason to assume that it is stolen. You can ask them for the serial number but that won't necessarily help you find if it is stolen etc but if they won't give it to you then that would be a red flag. As for checking if it works will you get your hands on it beforehand or are you buying off ebay? In some ways you might be best buying fom ebay as you would get some protection from them if the watch was not as described or did not work.
  • Actually we should all buy older ones apart from saving a good amount of money but also helping the planet. Most of the models have what most of need to monitor our exercises & fitness. Not much changes in the new models except hyper-ball backed up by the commercials.

Check the watch is working by strolling through the menus and even better ask the seller to show you some of the stats on the screen and on the associated app. Go for it & save the $

I know thread is old but is still valid today hence my two cents. And all most all of the sellers on FB etc are mum & dads.
