I have this slightly annoying observation, of the battery (or the battery meeter) doing a non-linear discharge.
I know about the battery thread on the F5+ forum, and also that battery anomalies due to CIQ applications, and that it could be an idea to do soft resets, completely discharge and charge fully. I have done that. I also do run my F5 with standard watch faces.
What I have noticed is that the discharge behaviour differs between software versions. A lithium battery do not have a completely linear discharge curve, but for me the battery behaviour varies quite a bit. And it varies with FW versions. From the start the discharge was pretty linear, at some 4.2% per day and some 4-5% per GPS hour (smart, GPS only) - on par or better than the specifications. With FW 10.0 the battery decreased faster from 100 to 90%, then staying at 4-5% per day and 4-5% per GPS hour. From 40 to 30% it decreased with up to 1% per 2-3 hours, and 8-10% per GPS hour, and then fairly linear again. In total pretty much the same capacity on the whole.

With FW 11.0 there is a fast decrease from 100 to 90%, a slow decrease from 90 to ca 78% (some 3-4% per day and some 3-4% per GPS hour), a very fast decrease again from ca 78 to 65% then slow down to some 43% followed by a very fast decrease down to 30%... and then "normal" the last percentages. Still in total around the same capacity giving me 6-8 days between charges with my usage.
Anyone else that share this observation? Any ideas to improve things? Would of course prefer a linear battery meeter, to improve the estimate of the amount of hours available for a GPS based session. Especially as the charge goes towards zero.
