Altimeter autocalibrating when it's off

Is it in a single run or did you run multiple times with the same thing? Sometimes it may behave just abnormal due to weather pressure change etc. but if it happens each time it may be a bug etc.

I'm on 11.00 and have noticed that my altimeter seems to have a propensity to calibrate itself at the start of a run even though that setting is set to off .

Any ideas? I toggled the autocalibration setting but it's still doing it!

this is a bug that has been for a long time.
if you do not calibrate the altimeter before activity and the autocal is off. the altimeter uses last barometric calibration at the start of the activity. so if the air pressure has been rising since last calibration, you will get at falling elevation during the first 20 seconds of the activity. and if the pressure has been falling since last calibration you will get a rising elevation during the 20 first seconds of the activity.

this do not happen if you have a elevation change before you start an activity.. for example if you travel to a destination before starting a activity and there is a elevation change on the watch, the activity uses correct the elevation on the watch without any rise/drop at the start of the activity.
As for me. If I have manual calibration and do not have a elevation change and the watch was calibrated 24h ago. Even if the elevation is correct, I get a rise/fall in elevation during the first 20 second if the air pressure has rise/fall the last 24h.
very strange, and annoying behaviour. This do not happen on my Fenix 3hr.
I have reported this to the beta team but no response.

I do not need to calibrate the altimeter when weather is fairly stable. The altimeter will be correct eaven if I leave it uncalibrated. But as stated above, the altimeter is making a fall/rise according to pressure change...
By not calibrating altimeter, the barograph is also not "damaged" and looks better.

this also happens if you "lock" altimeter by using baromode in watch mode... this mode is very handy to track weather over night when you are far into the mountain without internet.
