Hello!

So I still have my Fenix 5S and have been away from the forums and doing aany SW updates for the whole summer or even more. My current SW version is 7.54, GPS 4.30, CIQ: 2.4.1, BLE/ANT/SNS: 5.40, WHR: 20.03.23.

Is it worth upgrading to SW version 11.00? By asking this, I am focusing on GPS accuracy (which is currently very good for me) and BT connectivity with Polar H10 strap (which is also currently very good for me).

Would appreciate some suggestions here or via PM.

Results vary between users and my suggestion would be to stick with what you have if you are happy. There has not been something amazing (my opinion) that is worth upgrading so if you dont have any issues why take the risk? Going back is not possible with the firmware.

For what it's worth, I've never been happy with GPS reception of my F5 until FW10.5x. So if I was to give an advice - absolutely, go ahead and update.

Having said that, I don't seem to remember of any additional features added by the recent FW generations.

GPS went from awful to very accurate for me at 10.5. I always run with Galileo and have just moved to 11. All is fine.

Thank you all for the information. One more thing though, would it be possible to downgrade to the version I have now in case I decided to go through with the latest update?

Yes, but your device will reset and you will lost a lot of settings.

The improve battery life and the slightly better are good reasons to jump.

I922sParkCir, interesting you mention that as I have the opposite since I updated recently to 11.00. My battery seems to drain quicker since that version, 10.50 was absolutely fine.
