Hello. I just do it. Through the GE on pc and GC on phone, and still have 11.00 and 4.40(!).
Maybe I must wait that it gona be 100% phased roll up?

I resynchronized about an hour after the update FW11.00 and got GPS version 2.30. So wait.
  • I hope that they solved the open water swimming accuracy problems, I had to roll back from the beta this summer because the track was an absolute mess. I'm very uncertain about this upgrade, at least with the beta I was able do downgrade...

The same concept of upgrading but having to roll back the GPS file seems counterintuitive to me...

My fenix has never been very good on the tracking point of view (especially on the instant pace measurement), I really hope they don't mess up further with this.

En mi caso el GPS se ha quedado después de actualizar en 4.40 (!) . Cómo se puede dejar en 2.20 Galileo?
  • GPS 2.30 + Galileo - the track was very good but instant pace still to be desired, like before actually.
  • 11.00 official has Galileo support

    You're right - sry, my fault... :(

Connectate à Garmin Express en el ordenador. Iguane tendrás que hacerlo varias veces hasta que te ponga al día el GPS A 2.30. Yo tuve que hacerlo unas 4 x para que se hiciesen todas las instalaciones.
  • I am sorry everyone, I should have posted sooner. The software update 11.00 adds the Galileo satellites as a feature on the fenix 5 series. After the 11.00 software update loads, the GPS software will be sent over afterward via Garmin Connect Mobile. If you limit or do not use Garmin Connect Mobile, the after the software update loads to the fenix 5, plug your device back into the computer and ran Garmin Express again.

If you notice your GPS version as 4.40(!) after the update, then most likely the GPS software is still pending, so sync with Garmin Connect Mobile or run Garmin Express again. Since the software updates, your GPS software will show 2.30.
If you continue to have issues, please contact Garmin Support and we will be happy to work with you.

** Some extra information that might be useful for some of you. A device with 4.40(!) software will still get a GPS Signal and will not impact the performance of your device. Also, you can check your GPS software version on the About Screen by going to Settings > About > Press Down Four Times. **

  • Updated mine to 11.00 but GPS still on 4:40(!). synced to Garmin connect mobile a couple of times every day.
  • synced to Garmin connect mobile a couple of times every day.

You’ll need to leave the watch connected to phone with GCM open for a few hours to get software updates; they happen very slowly in the background due to the data transfer limitations of BLE. A couple of syncs per day just won’t do it unfortunately.

Use Garmin Express as explain above !!!
