Fenix 5, garmin connect and sleep data

I'm a new user of the Fenix 5 and i norice a strange behaviour. (I looked arround this forum and did not see anyone mentioning this in another thread)

I wear the watch during sleep. When i wake up and synchronize with the connect app on the phone I see the watch registers my sleeping hours correctly (most of the times). But I think the app communicates back and forth with the garmin connect servers, and after some time, when i return to the app I notice the sleeping times are changed. Mostly they are than way off.

Is it correct to think that the Garmin connect servers change the data registered by the watch?
Can I tell the server no to do this?
Or is it a bug on the server?
Anyone else seen this behaviour?

Now I am stuck in adapting the sleep times every day, even though the watch at first registers it correctly.

regards,
Johan

Not quite. The watch actually doesn't know that you're sleeping. All detection and analysis is done by garmin connect servers, and garmin connect sometimes reevaluates your sleep time as more data comes in.

    No.

Or is it a bug on the server?

Not a bug, but rather a deficiency of the sleep detection algorithm.

    Anyone else seen this behaviour?

    Sure.

Yes. I had the same thing in my Vivosmart 4. All data (Sleep hour, Deep, Rem, Light) changed a lot possibly after each Sync, even two Syncs are within 3 minutes.
