GPS v2.30 on 5x

Did install GPS v2.30 on my 5X (with 10.55) that FR935 now have an update to.
First reported v0.00, but a restart corrected it. I also needed to recalibrate the compass that was totally wrong when standing still.
Tested it with a short soak for 10 min and after that a very short walk around my house in run mode and it's working.
See tomorrow runs if there is any diff from 2.24.

Can you explain, how you downloaded gps v. 2.30, on Forerunner935_1055Beta is only gps_v224?

GPS 2.30 software update was just uploaded automaticly on my 5X after connection to Garmin Express. I also need to restart the watch because at first GPS was reported as ver. 0.00. I'm using 10.55 beta software.

Do you have the auto update on or off?
Mine is set to off and the GPS hasn't been updated.
Firmware numbering has being confused lately.
I'm on 10.51 that works very well.
Can I ? and how can I update only the gps to 2.30?

Mine is set to auto update and it was only GPS software update after connection to Garmin Express (PC version). Nothing else was updated.
I think you should check if you have installed GPS version lower than 2.30. In official FW there's 4.XX but as far as I know with beta FW 10.51 came also 2.20 GPS, so you should have lower one than 2.30. I had 2.24.
Firmware version doesn't matter because it is only GPS update.

Oh Lord,

Now we have one more variable...
People are complaining about battery and accumulated ascent on 10.55 with whatever GPS version.
Than we have GPS 2.30 a part.

I'm happy with 10.51 and GPS 2.20.

Let´s see.
