I had to do a hard reset on my F5 the other day after it hung which removed all of my training status and V02Max, I thought Trueup would restore the old setting but it did not so now my score has dropped from 51 to 47 and slowly building - this is frustrating, does anyone know how i can get the old score back in so i can continue from where i was ?
I didn't bother trying as the watch is clever enough to recalculate quickly. It should detect and give you a pretty accurate increase within 3/4 sessions. I've just had a new F5 and for me it was 1 indoor trainer workout, 1 outside (both using a PM) and 1 run. My VO2 has increased to exactly where it was before.
It uses power/hr and pace/hr so worth taking into account how fatigued you are before a workout. Also try to use an ext HR monitor as the OHR isn't always accurate.
Ps. I'm almost positive the watch won't sync that VO2 value from GC, but please try and let us know. If it does I will set mine to 70 this weekend and show it off to friends before they drop me :-)
you're correct Chatlow the watch did not synch the V02 value from GC - it took 2 weeks for it to get back to where i was but I am also at the end of a 3 month build so pretty fatigued and doing a lot of trails which don't count towards V02 calcs - yep always use an Ext HRM
