Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone can give me advice on which "Training Plan" I can select to improve my VO2-MAX or LACTATE THRESHOLD.
I am a fairly new runner (although used to do a lot 2 years ago). I am using FENIX 5 with attached SOFT STRAP HRM.
I am currently enrolled on the 5k Training plan and more or less completed it as I ran a 5k and it didnt seem to give a poop regarding my distances, my current running advice is to run 1 mile but i'll leave that discussion for another post.
Are there any training plans which will automatically use the HRM data along with my current health and running stats to say (as a random example) "Run for 2 minues above 170bpm" "Walk for 1 minute" "Run for 2 minutes at 180bpm" etc. Basically a heart rate zone based activity that is automatically adjusted to me which is designed to improve fitness. What I want to find is something that will say get me in a zone to improve my aerobic or anaerobic fitness, but something that will change as my fitness improves.
I really hope someone can understand what I am trying to say. A training activity that automatically adjusts! The distance based training plan I am on at the moment just seems to increase and decrease distances but doesnt really do anything with heart rate or lactate threshold information. I feel like my training plan just records what it sees but doesnt really adjust anything based on my HR.
