Problem with HR icon

Hi anyone. Few days ago I see HR icon on watch update every minute, before every second. When I select WatchFace, HR icon update every second for all face, but when apply face - every minute. It’s bad for me. Help me please, I don’t find parameter setting this. FW - 10.0.0.0
  • If it's a CIQ watch face, yes, that changed with the latest FW. But it was done to increase the battery performance, as with the hardware used in the f5x and similar devices (D2 Charlie, etc), providing it to a CIQ watch face was a battery drain. Note: other watches like the f5s, f5, and the new f5 plus devices haven't changed. Just watches where you see "display" as an item under About on the watch..

I heard about this from a user of one of my watch faces and verified it myself with a number of Watch faces and asked Garmin.

Originally, this is the way it worked on an f5x, so it's back to the way it was. In "Preview" mode (selecting a watch face) it runs in a different Hardware mode, and it always would work at 1hz there.

Thank for you answer. If I update my F5X from latest beta it’s dont solve problem too? Interesting: I update from 10.0.0.0 10 days ago and icon update every second, but few days ago start update every minute????
  • It's the "display" I mentioned that got updated, not the main firmware. A fix to improve the battery performance and reduce battery drain.

Well, now my Display v.2.90, if I downgrade to 2.80 it's solve problem? What are you think?
  • I doubt you'll be able to get a version of Display that allows moving back a version, and like I said, this change was made to improve the battery performance, so to Garmin, this isn't a problem to solve. Chances are that if you did downgrade display, it would be updated again and may even be required for the next new main firmware.

To Garmin, battery life is VERY important.
