Fenix 5 x sync issues with LG help

Hi all, I have a Fenix 5 x and a LG 6G mobile phone and I am having loads of issues with the syncing each time I complete a workout. I have tried deleting all the data and resetting watch and deleting the app on phone and re-installing etc. It did work ok on old phone but not got it to work probably on this new LG 6G phone I now have. I have searched around for the answers etc but not having much luck.
Is anyone running the same combination and have it running all ok or can anyone please suggest any options I can try please
Willing to try anything as just an expensive watch at the moment!

Set up a mobile WLAN hotspot on your phone, add the wireless connection to the 5x and sync via WLAN.

Although it is really a good idea, still some kind of workaround with WiFi on the phone. Did you give the app Garmin Connect the right to be exception from energy saving?

hi thanks for the replies, I will try both of these ( when I found out how to lol) tomorrow as its for my sons watch and phone and he is due to come round tomorrow, I will of course update how I get on as if any of these work it may help someone else

Hi all sorry for the delay, just to let you all know I updated the watch to the new beta version and (fingers crossed) it has been working fine since then, thanks again for the help
