Hello to all. Once I have drawn the route on Routes through Garmin Connect, and have entered points of interest as first aid, why are not they displayed in the map on the Fenix 5? How can I view them on the map while browsing?
I don't think you can view them on the map. Instead I have enabled a data screen with useful fields: to do this, when a course is being navigated, press menu/up, Navigation settings, Data screens, turn one of the screens on, choose fields layout, choose Navigation Fields, and choose some useful fields. Personally I have chosen 3 fields consisting of "Next Waypoint", because this give me the name of the flag I have set, such as "Cross bridge", secondly "Distance to Next" and thirdly "HR% max" because this is the minimum I need to keep my route and effort level under control.
thank you it seems strange that I can put them in the planning of the route, but in the end can not see them on the map of the clock ... what's the point then to be able to insert them when I set my route?
You should see course points on your map if you created them in Garmin Connect. However, if User Locations is not set to show you won't see them on the map.
I created my routes in Garmin Connect. I edited in user locations with Connect. My User Locations is set to show. But I still do not see the flags in the map view.
