ok, great. What I experiences from the beta fw was that the first openwater swim I did after updating fw was working fine but the second swim and so on didnt work at all.
I am on 10.52 beta(I can't update to 10.00) and the results with open water make me believe that Garmin must understand that till now, Fenix 5s is not an open water watch. In the attached fotos, red line is the real line of my today swim exercise ?????ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1390014.jpg

Second openwater dive worked as well. I did the first one activating WHR and second one without it, I don’t see any difference from last FW.
We are continuing to investigate issues related to Open Water Swim accuracy. We are working with the GPS Chip manufacturer and hope to have an update to fully address this issue in the near future.
So Garmin are aware that something’s still not working right with OWS tracking for the 935/Fenix 5/5+ lines where people have updated to GPS sw 2.20 that enabled Galileo support (production GPS software release to 935 and Fenix 5+, but only on beta to Fenix 5). So if you are still on production software on the Fenix 5 (so have no option for Galileo and GPS software version is sill 4.30*) then you won’t have the OWS problems people are referring to. It seems it’s proving trickier than expected for Garmin to fix.
(*If you’re wondering why GPS software 4.30 is “older” than 2.20 then you’re not alone. It seems they “reset” the numbering when they rolled out the GPS software with Galileo.)
