Charging indication dissappeared

My 5x used to display the charge percentage whenever it was plugged into a USB port for charging. It doesn't do that anymore, meaning that I can't see when it is fully charged. It's not the end of the world, but the display during charging was a useful feature that seems to have dissapeared. I can't remember when it dissapeared, but probably over the last month or so.

Does anyone else have the same issue?

I think you might have changed the USB Mode. With "Mass Storage" you should see the charging value, with "Garmin" you will NOT see the charging value.

I have two different charging indicators:

One with a green graphical indication of charging status - used while connected to my Mac
One with just a small bar at the top when connected to a charger.

The bar used when connected to a charger will display whenever the watch face is displayed, but disappear when showing another screen. If I switch back to the watch face, the charge bar will re-appear

If you mean the full screen pie display, I occasionally don't see that when I plug in, and most times,it just means reconnecting the cable, maybe flipping it up side down, blowing some dirt out the connecting port, etc.

Alo, maybe try turning the watch off and then plugging it in while it's off.

Missing full screen display - while connected to a computer - is a sign of a bad connection / bad cable. I had one replaced, as I had to press really hard to make the 'full' connection. On the faulty cable, one of the pins was recessed a bit compared to the other 3 pins

Man that's exactly the solution to the hassle that had been bothered me for 2 years! Can't remember when I accidentally changed the USB mode to garmin.
