Software version 10.00

Hi.

I was on beta 9.71 and just got via Garmin express an update to SW version 10.00?!?

Plus an update of GPS SW - updated to 0.00 !!!

Is there a official info what's in this update?

As far I know the last official SW version is 9.20?!!?

Has anybody else the same update?

Actual status:
Garmin F5 sapphire (Wifi) - was on 9.71, now on 10.00 (bef5fea), GPS: 0.00, WiFi: 2.40, CIQ: 3.0.1, BLE/ANT/SNS: 6.20, WHR: 20.03.31

I'm plan to go out in the next 2 hours for a MTB trip - but depends on the weather - will post later if the watch was working or not.

A minor issue but this update seems to have 'broken' the flashlight if you enable it using a hot key. Now you get a brief flash of light, then it switches to the level the back-light is set to. Still works if you enable it from the controls menu though.

Made improvements to pool swim distance accuracy.

anyone knows what this is about? Does that mean that bumping into someone else on a crowded lane will not be counted as an extra lap anymore?

Is the altimeter bug really fixed ? I am still at Firmware V6.0, because all later versions are totally useless for me. Any experiences up to now ?

In the past, being on the beta, meant that when the next stable version will be rolled out, the watch will get a notification to update to that. Now, I am on 10.51 and I wonder if I will get or not an automatic notification to get to stable FW 10. I know that I can force FW 10.00 on my watch but I will have to reset my F5. Any idea on how this time will work?

Version 10 locked on 20% deployment. Didn’t get yet. very frustrating. Is it possible to upgrade without waiting ?

Battery dra in duri g activity is quite huge.

Moutain biking with heart belt, cadence sensor, tempe and GPS (GPS + Glonass) - 7% within 50 minutes => means 8% per hour.
With previous SW (before 9.XX) it was arround 6% per hour.

Please post your experiences.

I noticed this too, and I was bummed because I love using the flashlight via hotkey. But I figured out that if you hold the hotkey (or in my case hotkeys...since I have it set to UP+BACK buttons) the light stays on until you release the hotkey and then goes to normal backlight setting. I wonder if this is meant to save battery? You are correct that if you want it to be on "hands -free" that it works fine from the controls menu
