SW Version 10.0

My 5x has just been installed with a 10.00 firmware update. Has the stable production version been released? Has anyone else had the update? If so, do you have the change log from the last production version?
  • It seems it's been a couple days for 100%. It may seem longer if you get the update over bluetooth, as that alone can take a few hours and it gets installed over night by default.

I got the firmware here in Sweden for 10 hours ago, and it took less than 2 minutes, as I was at home and I have the 5X (has wifi) I think the firmware goes via WIFI, not blue tooth because I have a home WIFI. Some ours before I tried Garmin express but it did not find any new firmware. When I was going to bed I saw on the watch the new firmware and it asked If I wanted to install it, very fast install

    I dont find "
    • added abnormal heart rate alerts. Enable these in heart rate widget > heart rate options >
I dont find any options on the watch, just "reorder" and "remove" on the heart rate widget on the watch

I goes to setting -widgets -heart rate and there are no options.

Do any of you have the options setting

I got it and enabled heart rate alerts:) I followed this text " Finally, those with one of the Forerunner 645 watches, the Forerunner 935 or Fenix 5/5+ range (currently in Beta) will need to press down key until the heart rate widget appears. Hold the up key to open the menu, select Heart Rate Options>Abnormal Heart Rate, turn on the alert and optionally adjust the threshold value."

This starts to be so confusing that I'll stick with 10.52 beta. It works fine and is having Galileo support and no battery drain.

Can you clarify what you mean by 'no battery drain'? Are you talking about the 3rd party watch faces killing that battery?

    Also ... turned off auto-update.

    Thanks

Yes. I don't know about 10.0 sw but in 9.2 there was the issue about 3rd party watchfaces draining the battery. Now when having 10.52 beta, battery goes down less than ~0.26%/hour with 3rd party watchface (also showing heartrate) which means more than 2 weeks usage without charging. Of course activities will shorten the time.

Thanks for sharing. Looks like I'll be trying my first beta firmware.
  • On sw 10.00 finally solved the problem by calibrating the Altimeter after swimming.
    Now it works as expected.
    Thanks Garmin ... :)))
