• I wonder if they fixed the Open water swim GPS...
• I wonder if they fixed the Open water swim GPS...

On the beta 10.51 thread they where requesting (yesterday) activity links showing the openwater swim GPS issue saying they were still working on it... so probably not fixed yet.
I would suggest everyone to send their links to "][email protected] at least it will show them how many swimmer are waiting in line for this to be fixed.

I sent them about 10 recent swims - they have enough data to analyse.
• Same here. The problem with open water swimming, continoues to exist.
I send them another swim data to analyse.

When it comes to bug swatting, I don't think it is possible to have enough data :)
• although i am only on 10.51 i write my observation here.

oddly the past two or three days floor counting is coming in the range of usefulness instead of being just a random number. this is the first time i get quite useful results (floor counting) on the fenix, although i am on 10.51 since it was released. normally i get about 30%-50% of the climbed floors, now i get about 90% or even more.

i am quite happy with 10.51 and i am afraid to update to another beta or release. battery usage is very good as well - only when using gps + glanoss the drain is very bad (1.5 hours of cycling gave me a drain of about 17%).

EDIT
=============================
ok, the floor counter is still very unreliable. the counting improved, but is still quite random and i wonder why. today the first 7 floors climbed in my house were counted perfectly, the last 6 floors climbed in my house did not (more or less the same as yesterday)!?

i wonder why one should trust into the data (like sleep, stress, HR, distance, altitude...) of the fenix, if the fenix is not even able to count climbed floors, as other devices can perfectly!? it feels as if garmin is optimizing/tweaking the different numbers to a grade where people are moaning less, rather than making it really work.
• Installed the beta and really excited about sending text replies from my watch! Looked in Garmin Connect Mobile for options to modify the canned responses and couldn't find it. Is the option to edit the responses available yet?

Anyone else having trouble getting reasonable sleep tracking? If I get up in the middle of the night, the start time switches to that time, cutting a big chunk out of time reported. Example is I went to bed at 11, fell asleep pretty quickly, got up at 2:30am to get rid of a hard cider, and my sleep time is reporting a 2:30am start time for a ~4:30 total sleep time. I haven't had the F5 long enough to know if this is new, or a function of the new beta.
• Can't speak to that issue, but you can edit your sleep and wake times in Garmin Connect Mobile.

fenix 5, battery drain is 20% per day, with some notifications, two per day maximum, no GPS, this watch is 4 days old, maybe the battery must perform better after some charging, but comparing with the 5X Plus (5% per day) is very avid....
