Is anybody else having more and more trouble getting their Fenix 5x to recognize peripheral heart rate sensors? First it started with the Garmin heart rate chest strap, I need to start an app "like biking" on my watch 5 to 6 times before it recognizes a connection to the chest strap. It used to recognize my Scosche rhythm heart monitor armband first try, now it's taking 4 to 5 tries to get it to recognize on the watch. Starting to get frustrating, the watch used to sense the chest strap with just a little moisture on the pads now I need to soak it with water to even get it to work, and yes I changed the battery no difference made. Any ideas?
I have not been able to record HR data as of 11 July. I have a Scosche Rhythm and a Fenix 3. The watch shows the device connected, then it starts searching again for it. If I go to settings> sensors, the watch will list the device as connected, but the run app will not recognize it. In the end, no data. I inquired if an update had been pushed about that time, but I have no response so far. have tried deleting the sensor then adding it again, but can't get data. Frustrating and kind of difficult to train for a half marathon.
