Open Water Activity

I’ve searched for anyone else commenting about this and am not really seeing anything related, but the “Open Water” activity needs to be tweaked a bit I think. I kinda suspect I burned more than 20 calories treading water offshore in current and swells for 30 minutes… Runkeeper seems to get it, do I have some setting wrong?

  • Disregard… For anyone else that doesn’t swim freestyle (which is apparently the only stroke the swim activities really work right for) when they’re doing Open Water activities, I found a post in the Vivoactive section suggesting using Cardio instead, which will give you your HR too. Would be nice if Garmin would make HR a user controlled option in the swim activities (especially since it apparently works fine on the Descent Dive app with the same sensor hardware).
