The wheel magnet on the GSC-10 fell off at around mile 8.80. The fenix stopped incrementing distance, HR, and elevation, yet maintained recording the track. It should have ululated distance from GPS from thereon.
Doesn't work that way. If the watch knows you have a RPM/Cadence sensor and connected this is what it uses for recording distance, not the GPS. Had an issue a few months of with my sensor and it would never record any distance traveled until I figured out what was going on with it. Until I figured out what was wrong with the sensor I deleted the sensor from the watch and then it used GPS.
Then this is a bug. I also rode with an Edge 1030 and once the magnet fell off, there was a very short period of no speed, but then it switched to recording speed again using GPS.
