Altitude

Hello, Just returned from Yosemite with multiple changes in altitude. I discovered that altitude is usually off by 300 - 500 feet. Also, it does not refresh on the main screen as compared to altitude app on the watch when plane is landing.
I wonder if maps from 5plus will become available for us
  • I reported such a bug, when climbing or descending fast, like in a plane, skydiving, or ski, the altitude displayed is late. It looks the altitude displayed is going through a smoothing average which is affecting the value. I am waiting on Garmin answer....

Also 5 Plus is affected! I have reported it also for 5X months ago but nothing....
  • The data fields on the watch screen have a much slower refresh rate than widgets - this is a deliberate battery-saving measure.

The answer to maps on the 5/5S is almost certainly no. The 5Plus (and the original 5X) have a faster processor to handle the computation-heavy task of map rendering.
