TruUp Not working

My Fenix is not picking up recovery time and training effect from rides recorded on my 820. All devices on latest firmware. TruUP is enabled on F5x, GCM, and GC web.

Recorded a couple rides, each about 30 miles, using my Edge 820. Ride syncs to GC. Then after mobile sync of F5x with GCM, the ride shows up on watch as an activity, but Recovery time is "0" (despite avg HR in 150's). Also, on web GC, no Training effect is showing up for the rides. VO2max IS updated and so are intensity minutes.

BTW, if I record a run or ride with F5x, TE is recorded and recovery time is shown.

Any thoughts on how to get recovery time and training effect working from Edge 820?

After call to support, I now realize the only Edge device that supports TruUp is the 1030. My year old Edge 820 does not...pretty disappointing since I really don't like having to record every ride on both my watch and bike computer.

This is very disappointing news. I have a 820 as well. I really didn't want to have to wear my watch all the time when riding.

I also have an Edge 820 and was sure that I saw at least one successful “true up” of a ride onto my Fenix 5x immediately after the upgrade to v9.20 firmware. I see that my more recent rides have not trued up. The rides DO appear on the watch in the last sport widget but do not affect training status. Disappointed as well.

The calories are transferred but recovery time, intensity minutes etc isnt. That's a shame 'cos I was hoping my units (F3 and 820) would sync when ocnnected to GC.

Syncing between and Edge 820 and Fenix watch seems to me to be the whole point of TruUp, but obviously garmin doesn't see the value added there. Hopefully a future firmware will bring them in line, but current 820 beta has no mention of TruUp.
