Don’t know what phone you have but with IPhone, the watch Bluetooth control just sends commands and whatever app the iPhone currently (or last used) is controlled. Example, if you are playing a recording you made with the sound recorder, this will be controlled. Start up the music app on the phone and then use the watch. If you are on an android phone then I can only guess that it is similar.
