Download Gpx files to fenix 5x ?

Can anyone recommend an iPhone app or website that you can download GPX files from, and then transfer them over to the dynamic watch server? I have the route course app installed on my Fenix 5X. I would like to load these into my watch before we go because our camping location has no cellular service.I am looking at particularly hiking and vehicle off-road trails in Northern Virginia. Thanks in advance.
  • Trailforks is a good place to start. Dynamic watch can import the gpx files for routes from there directly using the relevant url from the trailforks page. Wikiloc is another good one that has an app on iOS and a CIQ app for importing directly into your 5x. There is a subscription for wikiloc gpx downloads but it isn't expensive.

I save gpx files to the iCloud Drive which is accessed from the files app icon on your iPhone. Then open Garmin Connect and upload the file into courses, then sync with the watch. Easy
  • I use a combination of mobile app PLUS connectIQ app to be able to create GPX files and export them to the fenix without internet, just an Android smartphone/tablet
GPX file creation OFFILINE -android-: OsmAnd
GPX file copy from mobile to fenix OFFLINE: GPX/FIT exporter -Android /gimporter -fenix- THIS need to be both on smartphone and on Fenix

with this combo I can create/modify my GPS easily, well quite easily, even when I'm on the trail with no internet connection at all
