Just wondering if a thread outlining people's personal faves to help others find cool stuff would be helpful..

To kick off

App - currently trying out BF Runner at mo. Looks good, but displayed weird pace yesterday in a race so reinstalled tocheck Also trying out it's companion app BF Hike and also Komoot as I have time off coming up and hoping to walk the dog some interesting local places...

widget - Battery Widget is great for seeing usage stats, also love My Day Advanced

datafield - Trying out BpKM as well in the standard run app

Watchface - A toss up between Sun and Core, although Germon 3 would be up there if it had always on seconds
  • I use mostly default screen for any activity, but some days ago I discovered funnydata field:Beers Earned Plus.

And about watchface - for almost year I am using EuroPilotPlus with no need to change.

Weirdly (as a person who loves to customise) I use my watch nearly completely stock! However datafields which I've downloaded/used are the running power ones made by Garmin, backwards pedal stroke, Xert MPA / Power, and Xert Time To Exhaustion. Other apps were ERG IQ (could never get it to work) and Training Peaks Daily Workout (Didn't go premium after trial). Finally the only watch face I went for was Rings Pro (High Quality) but it did ruin battery life! With my most recent downloaded watch face being a "FaceIt" (self-made one) which was buggy and low quality. Now I run without power (messes up my Xert Training Platform), use the Xert datafields and the stock watch face.

    Watchface: Gearmin
    Datafield: Heart Rate Zones Chart
  • Great idea for a topic and I like the look of that emergency info widget which I'll add to my watch.

I still use the Garmin Sportsmaster watchface as I liked that it's analogue and has a lot of useful information packed into the screen.
  • Garmin Fenix 5
Watch face CleanAnlogPlus - I tried Garmin's Titanium but the second hand was erratic CleanAnalog Plus is a very good alternative for those that want a customisable Analogue watch face without being cluttered.
Data field Peter's (Race) Pacer - I use this to set pacing times for my running and I find it is very helpful in bringing down my times. I have donated to Peter because I value this.
Widget I have used Strava live segments and Uber ETA. I have turned off Strava and only use Uber occasionally because I live in the sticks.
  • Datafield: DYI Data Field. A simply awesome idea and realization with a great creator interface. Took me 30 mins to design my own dream data field.
    Watchface: HSS1Hz
