Fenix 5 keeps crashing, reading dump files help

My Fenix 5 watch crashes regularly during activities. What happens is that the watch restarts and more-or-less continues were it left off, except that it needs to reacquire GPS (which takes time) and I lose my connectIQ-based data fields. Interestingly, also the interval formats for speed change: All my intervals are expressed as pace (min/KM), but after a crash these all suddenly changes in speed (KM/H), which is pretty much meaningless to me. It can be very frustrating, especially during interval runs it breaks the "flow" and I have no idea how fast I need to run.

I've already reached out to Garmin and had it sent in for repairs, but to no avail. Although the support persons were all very friendly and helpful, the diagnosis was disappointing: The issue was caused by me using an Apple Mac and that apparently leaves some OS-related files on the watch which caused all issues. Since then, I only paired my watch with a windows laptop, made sure no files were left behind, but as expected no improvements at all.

Before sending it in again, having to go weeks without my watch only to get it back again without any real solution, I'd liek to see if I can run some preliminary diagnosis myself.

I've already rules out:
  • Factory resets do not help
  • It's not caused by any connectIQ-based data field, since it crashed multiple times during the last activity, without having any connectIQ-fields active.
  • Firmware versions, I've tried several ranging from 8.00 up until 9.53, no noticeable improvements
Recent crashes
  • June 26 - 1:45PM, twice during same activity
  • June 23 - 8:45 PM
  • June 22 - 1.00 PM
  • ...
SNS.ERR
I see sever messages stating "Sensor hub AFE HW ID check failed"

There's a dump that seems to be related to the most recent crash (assuming the times in logs are expressed in UTC, I'm located in UTC+02:00).

I've attached the full dump file.

I would very much appreciate if anybody has any suggestions, can make sense of provided dump file or somebody from Garmin can step in and offer a real solution. My watch is well within warranty.

Thanks!
