Hi, I'm trying to understand how this works on the 5X. The maps installed are cool, but they are not always detailed enough. I use the watch to go cycling through areas that are not shown in the built-in maps.
Today I discovered that I can create courses on Garmin Connect website and upload it to the watch, that's nice, but will I get TBT notifications? I have read that if route is set to "follow course" you will only have TBT if they are in the .fit file. If route is set to "use map" then the watch will use its maps, but that's a problem when you are in a non mapped zone.
So the question is, if GC website uses google maps that are a lot more detailed maps that the built-in ones and I use GC to draw and upload a course, will I get TBT notifications?
