Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

9.20 Change Log Notes:
• Fixed an issue where the device may crash while connecting to ANT sensors.
Please send all bug reports to "][email protected], and indicate which model of the fenix 5 series you have in the subject line.

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.
• My battery is draining incredibly fast since it updated overnight. I fully charged Tuesday morning its now Thursday morning and its at 38% battery meter app shows its using 1.3% per hour and shows at current pace will be dead in 30 hours. I have no notifications on and not used the GPS. I would typically lose about 6% a day if no activity is recorded. I have shut off the watch and restarted. Will update if anything changes.

Its been 24hr for me. I've done 2 runs for a total. The runs covered 2hr with wrist heart rate and a set course. The other 22hr were normal usage with stats tracking, 20ish minutes using the Garmin Connect app and some text notifications. I'm sitting at 60% right now. Thats a 40% draw in 24hr. That is horrible. The only custom field I have is the GearMin watch face. Everything else is stock. I'm going to reboot, charge and see what happens today.
• In the last 24 hours it has dropped 14 percent. However, I did manage to get out and ride this morning for an hour which took around 5 percent for GPS. Meaning the clock rate was 9 percent of the drain. Which more or less falls into line of what I usually expect +-1 percent. I have checked it far more often than I usually would too. Seems to be back to averaging where I would expect it to now.
• Fully charged it after earlier post. It has been 5 hours and is now at 66%. Estimated time left is 18 hours. I have not recorded any activities and no smart notifications active. This new update has cut battery life from almost 2 weeks to 24 hours. I am going to call support to hopefully install previous versionciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1365344.jpg
• Yesterday afternoon I switched to the only 3rd party watch face I use - simple info analog by GriffW. I noticed last night the watch had dropped around 10 percent battery again. I switched back to default watch face and restarted. Over night it lost just 3 percent again - which brings it back to my 8 percent daily average. There does seem something wrong with third party faces that causes excessive consumption of battery.
• Is there an intention to fix the lag when using a 3rd party watch face ?
Or is this how it will stay ?
Its basically slower than the F3HR I had previously.

If the built in watches faces could show a lot more fields I would not bother with the 3rd party ones, but currently its not the case.
• I think the Fenix 5x is the beta watch and the Fenix 5x Plus is the final watch

I called Gamin support today about the battery issue. I outlined the usage change after the 9.20 upgrade. He was very professional and asked if we could take the time to collect data from my 5x. In the end I ended up attaching the entire Garmin folder, minus the maps, to my support case. He did comment that their engineering team was very interested in reviewing the data. I commented that the topic was being discussed heavily on the Garmin Support forums. He pointed out that they can't ask for data to be sent to Garmin via the forum and users need to open support cases for that.

They also noted the my issues with the GearMin watch face and system lag.

The moral here is take the time call support. Don't be rude or aggressive and state a willingness to be part of a solution. Yes, it will take time out of your day, but it may yield a better result in the end.

With 9.20 I have issues. No recording of active calories burnt on the watch or recording of last 4 hours of HR
• Has anyone tried this Beta? Does it fix the battery and lag issue?

Lag issue is still here.
