  • I hope with better watchfaces like the Fenix 5X plus with hrt
  • Now at 24 hours and 13 percent drain. Will see how next 24 hours go but if remains the same, gone from a 12.5 day average (no gps) battery life to a 7.5 day average.

I got the 9.2 upgrade on my 5x this morning. I can notice a faster than normal battery draw.

Also with the GearMin face it takes about 5 seconds for the watch to move off the face. This is consistent for any key press (Up, Down, Settings, Long Press on Light Key or Activity). The backlight activation is the only thing that happens instant.

I tied using several different Garmin clock faces and there is almost no lag.

I have to say this is extremely disappointing.
  • I'm hoping the next 24 hours drops back to somewhat normal battery usage - if it doesn't then this build is a terrible hit on battery life. Hopefully can get out for a ride later to see the difference there. For the last year I have been pretty consistent with an 8 percent 'clock' drain per day and a 5 percent per hour GPS drain. +-1 percent
  • So its dropped '2 percent' in last approx. 6 hours. I checked at 12:18 (EST) and now 18:14 (EST). Seems to have settled a lot more - that would bring it back to closer to 8 percent over 24 hour. I have found that sometimes it drops the first 10 percent pretty quickly - maybe it says 100% when charging but is far from a total charge. Will see how it does but seems better. Would have rolled back if hadn't settled!

I am not stressed anymore . I had only blue staples during the night, I use to have blue and yellow stapels or just yellow stapels. It will be intresting to day what the stress score will be during the hole day. I do wonder if this new stress algorithm is more correct, I think so and hope so, I dont want to be outstressed al the time . I agree the button are slower

There's something definitely wrong with the power draw since the high 8.xx betas. I've recently switched to a 5X Plus and using the SC9 watch face I get a 10% power draw in 24hrs....vs 18% on the 5X and any firmware above the mid 8.xx's.

charged my 5x yesterday at 3 PM CEST to 100%. Woku up this morning (04:30 AM CEST) and battery lost 2% (down to 98%). Did a run of 70 minutes and this brought the fenix down to 88% (with HR-strap, tempe and stryd. All via ANT+).
    No custom watch faces, etc
    really fine for me!

It seems each time the watch is a bit more slower, soon is gonna go backwards, What a shame Garmin,
